Notable Changes From The Previous Year
The Ramcharger has been out of the lineup since 1993, so everything is new in this revival. The latest version borrows a few features from the Ram 1500 pickup but replaces the gas engine with a hybrid one.
Performance Specs
If you think PHEV vehicles aren’t as powerful as gas ones, the new Ramcharger will force you to reconsider. This model is powered by two Electric Driving Modules plus a 92kWh battery. This setup delivers 663 horsepower, 615 lb-ft of torque, and a towing capacity of 6,350 kg. It has a total range of 1,110 km, accelerating up to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds.
Design Elements
Refinement is the keyword of the truck’s interior. The Tungsten model has luxury seats with premium leather upholstery, bright metal speaker covers, and genuine wood accents. Front seats are incredibly comfortable with 24-way power adjustments, including features like memory and massage. Unsurprisingly, the carmaker advertises it as “the most luxurious Ram 1500 ever.”
The Tungsten model also has an impressive exterior design. Standard features include 22-inch aluminium wheels, an illuminated Ram badge, model-specific grille surrounds, and a modern-looking full-front fascia. Additionally, it comes with LED taillamps and a power tailgate that can be activated via a key fob. The cargo area is lockable, weatherproof, and illuminated. It relies on the exclusive RamBox Cargo Manager System, which includes a charging port and remote access.
Technology and Safety Features
Two massive touchscreen displays dominate the front panel. There’s a 10.5-inch passenger interactive display and the largest-in-class 14.5-inch centre touchscreen display. You can also add a third, liquid-crystal display: a 12.3-inch digital interactive cluster. This lineup comes with a standard Uconnect 5 infotainment system that allows you to use your Apple Watch or iPhone as a key, and it also allows you to share digital keys with other Apple devices.
